Relationship between serum HIF-1α and VEGF levels and prognosis in patients with acute cerebral infarction combined with cerebral-cardiac syndrome

Abstract Objective: This research was conducted to discuss the recent prognosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) combined cerebral-cardiac syndrome (CCS). Method: Eighty-seven ACI were selected, which divided into group (52 patients) and CCS (35 according whether combined, another 30 health controls selected as control group. Serum hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α vascular endothelial growth (VEGF) levels subjects in each at 1st day, 3rd 7th day after admission measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. After discharge for days, National Institutes Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) modified Rankin (mRS) score utilized evaluate patients.
